The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has invited proposals from qualified local firms and consultants to undertake a detailed condition assessment and prepare tender documentation for the repair and maintenance of Sinamalé and Hiyaa housing buildings.
According to the ministry, the consultancy will focus on evaluating the current state of the buildings and developing comprehensive documentation to support future maintenance and repair works. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure the long-term sustainability and safety of major housing infrastructure in the capital region.
The ministry has called on locally registered organisations, firms, and individual consultants to submit proposals that incorporate efficient assessment methodologies, technical solutions, and documentation practices.
Interested parties seeking clarification must submit queries in writing before 26 March 2026 at 13:00hrs. Responses will be shared with all applicants to ensure equal access to information, the ministry said.
Completed technical and financial proposals must be submitted electronically by 31 March 2026 at 13:00hrs. Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
The Sinamalé and Hiyaa housing projects are among the largest residential developments in the Maldives, accommodating a significant portion of the urban population. The planned assessment is expected to inform future maintenance strategies and procurement processes.
