The National Awards Committee has opened nominations for this year’s National Awards, following the publication of award criteria and guidelines in the Government Gazette, with submissions accepted until Thursday, 30 April.

This year, applications will be accepted exclusively through the President’s Office form submission portal. The committee has urged applicants to ensure all required documentation is submitted alongside the application form.

Nominations are open across 39 primary categories. As in previous years, individuals, companies, associations and other entities may submit nominations directly, either on their own behalf or for others, without requiring endorsement from a government agency. Government bodies and independent institutions are also eligible to apply.

In evaluating individual nominees, the committee will consider contributions made after the age of 18. The awards will be presented under two main categories: the National Award of Honour and the National Award of Recognition.

The National Awards will be conferred during the official function held to mark National Day.
