Authorities Alerted to Commercial Laundry Operating in Vinares Apartments

Housing Development Corporation and other authorities have been alerted to a commercial laundry operation being conducted inside an apartment at the Vinares Housing Complex.

A video circulating on social media shows the activity taking place within one of the residential towers, where occupants have been residing for approximately three years. The footage depicts the apartment’s living room and bedrooms being used for business purposes.

The setup includes multiple washing machines, designated areas for ironing and folding, and bags of laundry, with individuals shown working at the premises. Concerns have been raised regarding safety, particularly the use of equipment powered by Liquefied Petroleum Gas, with gas cylinders being delivered to the apartment as seen in the video.

Authorities have reiterated that residential units are not permitted to be used for commercial activities. HDC has previously stated that enforcement action will be taken against violations of this policy.

Members of the public have tagged HDC and its officials on social media, calling for swift intervention, while concerns have also been raised regarding the enforcement of regulations at the complex.
