Police Open Applications for 15 Constable Posts

Maldives Police Service opened applications for 15 constable positions with a take-home salary of MVR 15,500 yesterday.

Applicants are required to submit completed police job application forms along with relevant documents to the reception of Shaheed Hussain Adam Building or police stations in the atolls before 4:00 P.M. on 8 April 2026. Submissions will be accepted between 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. on working days. Details of the required documents are outlined in the gazetted notice.

The total monthly salary is MVR 15,500, comprising a basic salary of MVR 8,990 and a service allowance of MVR 6,510. Additional benefits include allowances in line with Police Employment Regulations, as well as food and medical care.

According to the gazetted notice, applicants must have at least a “C” grade in two subjects in the SSC examination and two subjects in the GCE O Level examination, or an equivalent or higher qualification. Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years of age.

Minimum height requirements are 5 feet 3 inches for males and 5 feet for females. Applicants must also meet general recruitment criteria set out in Section 16 of the Maldives Police Service Act (Law No. 34/2020).

Additionally, candidates will be required to pass a series of assessments, including a background check, physical fitness test, swimming test, aptitude test, interview, and medical examination. Selection will be based on the criteria set out in the Police Employment Regulations, with preference given to those achieving the highest scores.

Successful applicants may be assigned to any location determined by the Maldives Police Service, the notice said.

Applications that do not meet the requirements will be invalidated. Candidates who are unable to complete the criminal record clearance form by the deadline may submit it during the testing and assessment phase.
