Applications Open for Third Intake of Maldives National Service Programme

Applications have opened for the third intake of the Maldives National Service Programme, offering young people the opportunity to undergo initial training starting in late May.
The Ministry of Defense announced that applications are now being accepted for its National Service Initial Training, which will be conducted at the MNDF Composite Training Centre in Lh. Maafilaafushi.
The programme is open to Maldivian youth aged between 16 and 28, with those under 18 required to obtain consent from a legal guardian. Applicants must also meet physical health requirements.

The training will run for three months and is scheduled to begin in the final week of May.
According to the announcement, the selection process will include an interview, aptitude test, physical screening, and medical evaluation.
Participants selected for the programme will receive an allowance from the start of their enrolment. Upon successful completion of the training, they will also be provided with opportunities for further technical training and potential employment.
Applications can be submitted via email or in person to the Ministry of Defense. Forms are available on the ministry’s official website.
The deadline for applications is set for 14:00 next Sunday. Authorities have advised interested candidates to apply before the closing time.
