Man Dies After Rescuing Two Children From Drowning in Fulidhoo

A 63-year-old man has died after rescuing two children from drowning in Fulidhoo, police confirmed on Friday.

The man entered the water after the children encountered difficulties while swimming and required assistance. He was subsequently taken to the island’s health centre in critical condition.

Police confirmed that he died while receiving treatment. The two children, who are his own, are reported to be in good condition.

Authorities have stated that the incident remains under investigation.
