Following the arrests, police carried out searches at two locations in Malé under court orders, during which drugs were discovered. The quantity of the seized substances has not been disclosed.

The court has ordered a five-day remand for Rikzu Adam and a 12-day remand for Ahil Ali, while the remaining four suspects have been remanded for 15 days.
Court documents indicate that Rikzu Adam was arrested after drugs were found in plain view during a search of a room at Town Stay Guesthouse, alongside a passport-sized photograph, Maldivian currency, and items used for packaging and distribution.
Searches connected to the other suspects revealed drugs in plain view on a bed and inside a bed headboard in their room. A bottle suspected to contain alcohol was also found in a refrigerator in the same location.
