Deadline Extended for Third Intake of Maldives National Service Programme

The Ministry of Defense has extended the deadline for applications to the third intake of the Maldives National Service Programme, giving young Maldivians the opportunity to begin initial training in late May.
The application deadline was initially set for 14:00 today.
The programme is open to Maldivian youth aged 16 to 28, with applicants under 18 required to obtain consent from a legal guardian. Participants must also meet physical health requirements.

Training will last three months and is scheduled to begin in the final week of May. The selection process includes an interview, aptitude test, physical screening, and medical evaluation.
Participants will receive an allowance from the start of their enrolment and, upon successful completion, will have access to further technical training and potential employment opportunities.
Applications can be submitted via email or in person to the Ministry of Defense, with forms available on the ministry’s official website.
