President and First Lady Travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah

President Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have departed for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
The President’s Office said all expenses for the trip are being covered by the Government of Saudi Arabia, with arrangements finalised in February 2026.
The government has not disclosed when the first couple will return to the Maldives.
The Saudi government also hosted the first couple last year during their Hajj pilgrimage.
