63 Participants Graduate From National Service Technical Training Programme

A total of 63 participants have graduated after completing the technical training programme of the Maldivian National Service.
The programme is a specialised training initiative conducted for participants who complete the National Service Initial Training programme.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the participants were selected from the first batch of National Service Initial Training graduates, who completed their programme on 15 December last year and expressed interest in pursuing technical training.

The ministry said graduates of the programme will receive at least a Level 3 Certificate.
The technical training programme was conducted at the School of Engineering and Logistics in Baa Atoll, Kihaadhoo over a period of four months.
Participants received training in six technical fields:
- Electrician
- Automobile Engineering
- Marine Engineering
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Ref and AC)
- Office Management
- Building and Fabrication
The ministry stated that 65 youth from 35 islands across 15 atolls participated in the programme, with 63 successfully completing the training.
The Maldivian National Service programme is part of a broader government initiative aimed at developing disciplined youth familiar with working environments while promoting national values and wellbeing.
The first round of National Service basic training concluded on 28 December last year, with 344 participants graduating. The 63 graduates from the technical programme were selected from among this batch for specialised training.
The second round of National Service basic training has also concluded. According to the Ministry of National Service, 350 participants joined the programme and 343 completed the training.
The ministry added that 80 participants from the second batch are expected to take part in the technical training programme.
