Missing Fisherman Found on Hondaafushi Shore, Health Centre Says Man is in Good Condition
A fisherman reported missing from a vessel off HDh. Hondaafushi early this morning was found on the island’s shoreline and later confirmed to be in good condition following medical treatment, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said.
The incident was reported to the MNDF Coast Guard at approximately 4:05am after the man went missing from the fishing vessel Bahuru while it was catching bait south of Hondaafushi.
The MNDF Northern Area Command and Coast Guard First Squadron subsequently launched a search operation.

A dinghy assisting in the search located the man on the shore of Hondaafushi at around 5:55am. He was taken to the Hdh. Hanimaadhoo Health Centre at approximately 5:59am for medical treatment. MNDF said that the health centre later reported that the man was in good condition.
