The Local Government Authority (LGA) has indefinitely postponed the election for the LGA board seat reserved for an island councillor and a Women’s Development Committee (WDC) member, just days before the vote was scheduled to take place.

The election was scheduled for Saturday to select one island councillor from among the newly elected island councillors and one WDC president from among WDC presidents to serve on the LGA board.
