The aim is to arrange these activities in a manner that minimizes inconvenience to any party involved.
To uphold their commitment to neutrality and unbiased governance, the Council states it has been actively issuing permits that facilitate an even playing field for all participating political parties.
The Council’s tweet comes in the wake of recent remarks by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s election spokesperson and Defense Minister, Mariya Ahmed Didi. Minister Mariya stated that the city council had declined permission for President Solih to host a campaign rally.
