The website was introduced by Dr. Hussain Rashid Hassan, the Minister of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture during a ceremony held in Sh. Goidhoo today.
Dr. Hussain emphasised the website’s role as a comprehensive repository of agricultural insights.
Dr. Hussain stated that the web application will serve as a valuable resource for information on a diverse range of topics within agriculture.
This encompasses details about various strains of wheat, an assortment of fruits and vegetables, as well as information about field diseases and recommended approaches for their mitigation.
While the website is currently in its developmental stages, plans are underway to further enhance and expand its content in the future.
Additionally, the ministry is actively collaborating with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to create a complementary mobile application.
This forthcoming app will extend its focus to encompass marketing strategies for agricultural products, as outlined by the Minister.
At its core, the “Dhanduveriyaa” website is poised to fulfill a vital role by offering a wealth of agricultural information tailored to farmers.
