Urbanco Launches Community Urban Farming Project 2

Urbanco has introduced the Community Urban Farming Project 2 today, to boost local food production.

The initiative, supported by the Government of Japan and executed in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Maldives, aims to empower entrepreneurs, enhance food security, and foster community unity.

The project responds to urban challenges by involving residents in revitalizing neighborhoods through gardening. It focuses on strengthening agricultural expertise, promoting food security, and supporting agro-businesses. 
Residents of Hulhumalé can participate in the project, categorized into groups of women, combined groups with youth and persons with disabilities, and the general public.

Deadline for applications is set for 28th September.
