President Inaugurates Projects on A.A. Himendhoo and Lh. Olhuvelifushi

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the newly completed infrastructure projects today on Himendhoo Island in Alif Alif Atoll and Olhuvelifushi Island in Lhaviyani Atoll.
These projects encompassed a new football ground on Himendhoo Island and a powerhouse on Olhuvelifushi Island. The new infrastructure was officially unveiled as part of President Solih’s ongoing tour.

The football ground on Himendhoo Island was surfaced with turf and developed to include amenities by Amin Construction Pvt. Ltd., the project’s contractor.
The powerhouse on Olhuvelifushi Island is a facility that represents an improvement to the existing infrastructure. Its strategic location, away from the residential area, minimises disruption to the island’s inhabitants.
