Nazim Vows to Develop Bunkering Services in Dhiyanaru Lagoon

Mohamed Nazim, the presidential candidate of the Maldives National Party (MNP), has made a promising commitment to reclaim Dhiyanaru Falhu in Kaafu Atoll and establish bunkering services, as he addressed supporters during a campaign event.

Expressing his concern for liveaboards in Hulhumale’ who have been ordered to vacate, Nazim highlighted the pressing issue of these vessels having no designated docking areas.

To address this challenge, he pledged to initiate the reclamation of Dhiyanaru, with the aim of creating affordable docking facilities and additional services, notably bunkering for ships.

Furthermore, Nazim voiced his concerns regarding the inconveniences faced by Maldivian travel agents, citing various measures that have affected their operations. In response, he vowed to bring an end to these measures and implement regulations for online bookings. 

Additionally, Nazim outlined his commitment to providing training opportunities for Maldivians, empowering them to play a prominent role in the liveaboard business.
