This statement comes in response to allegations made by certain political parties, asserting that officers deployed to islands might be unable to cast their votes during the security operation. MPS refuted these claims, assuring the public that no such measures are being taken to deprive officers of their voting rights due to their deployment in connection with the elections.
Moreover, MPS has taken steps to ensure that officers stationed on various islands can participate in the electoral process.
These officers have been successfully re-registered according to their new locations, guaranteeing their ability to exercise their democratic right to vote.
The deployment of police personnel across the atolls is part of Operation Blue Wave, aimed at maintaining security and safeguarding the integrity of various election-related activities.
