FDC Contracts to Build 4,000 Housing Units in Five Regions

Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Limited (FDC) has signed a contract with American company Structures Unlimited LLC on thursday, to embark on a housing project.

This development will see the construction of 4,000 social housing units spread across five regions.
The official signing of the contract took place with the participation of FDC’s Managing Director, Salfiyya Anwar, and Kareem Jamal Abdus-Salaam, the Chairman of Structures Unlimited. The project, with a total estimated value of USD249 million, is set to be executed over a timeline of 36 months.
Operating under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract, the housing units will be distributed as follows: 750 units in Addu City, 500 units in Thinadhoo within Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, 1,000 units in Gan situated in Laamu Atoll, another 1,000 units in Kulhudhuffushi City, and finally, 750 units in the Greater Male’ Region.
