VP Calls For Human Resource Development in Aviation Industry

Vice President Faisal Naseem highlighted the importance of enhancing human resource development in the aviation sector during his speech at the graduation ceremony for pilot training programme graduates of the Maldivian Aviation Academy (MAA) in Meerumaa Hall yesterday. 

VP Faisal also acknowledged the challenges faced by students due to the closure of the Asian Aviation Academy (AAA) and the government’s efforts to establish the MAA as a solution. 

He stressed the increasing the number of local professionals working in the Maldivia n aviation field.

During the ceremony, Vice President Naseem awarded certificates to the inaugural group of students who successfully completed the pilot training program at MAA. 

To date, 18 students have graduated from the institution, while an additional 15 are presently enrolled in courses, and 10 more are preparing to commence their training at the academy.

The Maldivian Aviation Academy, located in Gan, Addu City, was officially inaugurated on December 28, 2021, with the aim of addressing the challenges faced by Maldivian students following the closure of AAA.
