In the aftermath of the first round of the presidential election, the presidential candidate of People’s National Congress (PNC) Dr. Mohamed Muizzu called parties to join the PPM-PNC coalition.

Muizzu extended this invitation while addressing supporters at the Artificial Beach last night, celebrating his victory in the initial round of the presidential race.

During his rally speech, Muizzu emphasised the importance of promoting the nation’s sovereignty and collective thinking for the betterment of the country.

He acknowledged the people’s expressed need for this vision in the recent vote and urged all, even those with differing opinions from Saturday’s ballot, to unite and work towards the campaign slogan “Dhiveheenge raajje.”

Muizzu expressed his willingness to collaborate with any leader dedicated to the country’s welfare, inviting all parties and leaders who contested the elections to join the PPP-PNC coalition.

“This coalition is founded on a platform of developmental ideas. I extend an open hand of friendship to other parties and political leaders who participated in yesterday’s elections,” Muizzu affirmed.

In the first round of the election, Muizzu secured 46.15% of the vote.

Muizzu reaffirmed his commitment to realising the core objectives outlined in his manifesto, asserting that every promise made would be faithfully upheld. He stressed that the manifesto was not a mere electoral ploy; he and his team possessed a clear plan to execute it.
