Gov’t to Launch Salary Review for Aviation Sector
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has unveiled plans to review the salaries of aviation sector employees at a campaign rally held at the MDP’s Sosun Jagaha on Saturday.
In his address, Solih conveyed that efforts are currently in progress to assess the salaries of aviation professionals. This initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at ensuring equitable compensation for public servants across various sectors.
Solih emphasised the diverse roles within the aviation sector, which include pilots, engineers, and crew members, and highlighted their dedication to their respective roles.
He stated, “We have initiated a comprehensive salary review for this sector. I can assure you that in the near future, we hope to see salary increases for those employed in various roles within the aviation sector, such as pilots, engineers, air crews, and others.”
Furthermore, it was announced that, starting from January 1 of the upcoming year, Solih will implement salary increases for all public servants, encompassing personnel in the army and police.
Notably, the administration had previously raised the salaries of education employees on May 1 of the preceding year and increased the salaries of health workers from May 1 of the current year.
