Gov’t Announces Thursday as Public Holiday

In an announcement today by the presidents office, the government has declared Thursday of this week as a public holiday. 

This comes as September 28 coincides with the occasion of Eid Milad ul-Nabi, the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which falls on September 27.

The government is to be closed on Saturday as well due to the second round of presidential elections scheduled for Saturday.
