Gender Ministry Attended to 45 Cases of Gender Based Violence in August

Statistics released by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services reveal that the Ministry received and attended to a total of 45 cases of gender-based violence in the month of August, which included 41 females and four males.

Comparatively, the month of July saw 31 cases of gender-based violence.
In August, the most commonly reported form of domestic violence was physical violence/abuse, with 20 cases documented during the month.

Additionally, during August month, there were 15 cases of emotional abuse / verbal abuse, four cases of sexual violence/abuse, four cases of others, and two cases of intimidating.
In August 2023, the Ministry of Gender, Family, and Social Services received a total of 254 reported cases concerning various issues related to child welfare and family well-being.
