ECM Commences Shipment of Election Materials in Preparation for Voting Day

The Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM) has officially initiated the distribution of election materials to the atolls and islands in anticipation of the forthcoming voting day. 

This development was confirmed through a video announcement released on ECM’s official Twitter account.

The distribution of election materials comes after the successful completion of the printing process of votes for the second round of elections, which is scheduled to take place on September 30th.

The second round of the presidential election will see Dr. Mohamed Muizzu representing the Progressive National Congress (PNC) as the presidential candidate, and the incumbent President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, running as the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s presidential candidate.
