Allowances for Officials from First Presidential Election Round Set to be Disbursed This Week

In an announcement made via Twitter, yesterday, Ismail Habeeb, the Vice President of the Elections Commission (ECM), revealed that allowances for a range of officials who served during the initial round of the presidential election are slated to be disbursed this week.

The list of beneficiaries includes trainers, coordinators, liaison officers, as well as regular and reserve officials who played pivotal roles at polling stations in Male’.
Habeeb affirmed that the process of disbursing allowances for the atolls section is also well underway and progressing.
With a commendable turnout of over 5,000 officials who dedicated their efforts to ensure the smooth functioning of the first round of the presidential election, preparations for the second round, scheduled for September 30, are ongoing. An additional 200 officers have been recruited to bolster the team.
