Hand Over of Land Registry to Recipients at Former CHSE Building

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure has announced that the signing of the land registry for the Binveriya Scheme recipients will take place at the former Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) building in Male’, starting from tomorrow.
Previously, the ministry had initiated the process of handing over land registry documents and allocating land plots in Hulhumale’. However, a decision has been made to relocate the signing of the land registry to the former CHSE building in the capital city, Male’. The distribution of land registry documents will commence on Tuesday from this new location.
Recipients of land under the Binveriya Scheme will be contacted by the ministry to inform them of the scheduled times for signing the registry.
In total, 19,639 residents of the city are set to receive land through this scheme, which includes 9,001 land plots when considering joint applications.
These allocated lands are situated in Hulhumale’, Gulhifalhu, and Giraavaru Lagoon, with 1,351 plots in Hulhumale’, 2,218 plots in Gulhifalhu, and 5,432 plots in Giraavaru. The land areas allocated in these regions range from 1,250 acres to 4,000 acres in Hulhumale’ and Gulhifalhu.
The government has expressed its commitment to ensuring that all land recipients receive their allocated land before November.
Furthermore, the government has launched a project for Phase 3 land reclamation of Hulhumale’ Lagoon as part of its ongoing development efforts.
