President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who secured victory in the presidential election, engaged in a meeting with Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, today.

Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, representing the Opposition PPM-PNC, emerged victorious in the election, defeating the incumbent President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The meeting between the President-elect and the Parliament Speaker took place at the parliament secretariat, this morning, although the details of the discussions remain undisclosed at this time
Muizzu, in a message inscribed in the dignitaries’ signing book at the parliament, emphasised the role that the parliament plays in the governance of the nation. His commitment to a cooperative relationship with the parliament was reiterated during his victory rally at the Social Centre held on Monday evening.
