Muizzu Holds First Meeting with a Diplomat with British High Commissioner

President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, accompanied by Vice-President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef, engaged in a diplomatic meeting with the British High Commissioner to Maldives, Caron Röhsler, today. 

The meeting was held within the confines of President-elect Muizzu’s residence, where he and Vice-President-elect Hussain engaged in discussions with High Commissioner Röhsler. 

An official representative from the British High Commission was also present during the meeting.

As of now, specific details concerning the content of the dialogue remain undisclosed to the public.

President-elect Muizzu’s educational background includes studies at prestigious institutions such as the University of London and the University of Leeds.

Addressing the public for the first time since his electoral triumph, President-elect Muizzu stated that his foreign policy is a pro-Maldives stance. He expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with any nation that reciprocates the sentiment.

Furthermore, President-elect Muizzu expressed his intention to meet with the Ambassador of India, Maldives’ neighboring nation, in the near future.
