UNICEF Maldives extends an invitation to individuals and groups eager to showcase their environmental initiatives and ideas aimed at addressing pressing climate challenges.
The “Climate Action in Maldives: Amplifying Youth Voices, Inspiring Action Exhibition” is scheduled from October 25 to 26, 2023. It is designed to spotlight innovative and impactful projects and initiatives within the Maldives that combat climate change and champion environmental sustainability.

The exhibition is open to individuals and groups dedicated to environmental preservation, offering them an opportunity to showcase their climate-conscious initiatives. Participants can select from two available time slots: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The objectives of this exhibition:
- To serve as a platform for Maldives activists, innovators, and change-makers to present and share their climate action ideas, projects, and initiatives.
- To inspire and motivate other young individuals and communities to take meaningful action against climate change, fostering a sense of urgency and empowerment.
- To facilitate networking and collaboration opportunities among youth participants, environmental organisations, and stakeholders, thereby strengthening the climate action ecosystem in the Maldives.
Exhibitors will be categorised into four distinct groups, with 20 slots available for participation. The categories are:
- Civil Society Organizations (CSOs): Spotlighting the efforts of CSOs.
- Government: Showcasing projects and initiatives led by government institutions.
- Private Sector: Focusing on businesses, enterprises, and innovative startups.
- Young People: Providing a platform for young individuals from different regions within the country to highlight their ideas, projects, and initiatives.
The deadline for participation is October 11, 2023. Those interested in taking part can register via the provided Registration Form.
