Saudi Ambassador Reaffirms Support for Maldives’ Development in Meeting with Muizzu

In a meeting held yesterday, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the Maldives, Matrek Abdullah Al-Ajalin Aldosari, reiterated his country’s commitment to bolstering the development of the Maldives.

The meeting took place at the Male’ residence of the newly-elected Maldivian President, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, at 10:00 am.
The meeting also saw the presence of Vice President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef.
During the meeting, Muizzu expressed his desire to further enhance the diplomatic ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia, aiming to elevate the relationship to new heights during his presidency.
He highlighted the shared common faith that forms the foundation of Maldives-Saudi relations and expressed aspirations to strengthen bonds not only with Saudi Arabia but also with other Arab Islamic nations.
Muizzu extended his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its support in various projects within the Maldives and sought continued assistance in delivering on his electoral promises.
Ambassador Aldosari acknowledged the multifaceted nature of the relationship between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia, emphasising the strong bonds that exist on multiple fronts.
Furthermore, he provided assurances that Saudi Arabia would steadfastly support efforts aimed at strengthening Maldives-Saudi relations and meeting the developmental needs of the Maldives.
