The Democrats’s Interim Chairperson Hassan Latheef stated that members of the party will hold various positions within the upcoming government.
During a press conference, Chairperson Latheef also revealed that The Democrats plan to conduct a primary election for those interested in running for the position of Mayor of Male’ City under the party’s banner.

Additionally, the party has decided to establish branches to enhance its organisational structure, with the opportunity to form these branches becoming available to members once the governing rules are announced.
The Office of the President-elect has expressed its commitment to fostering an inclusive government, assuring that capable individuals will not be removed based on their party affiliations.
Instead, the focus will remain on retaining competent and responsible individuals who can continue to serve the government effectively, irrespective of their party memberships.
