As of the 15th of this month, the police have begun identifying vehicles that exceed the speed limit or engage in unauthorised lane changes on the Sinamale’ Bridge. This identification is made possible through the use of speed cameras installed on the bridge.
Upon detecting a vehicle that violates traffic regulations, MPS will promptly send an advisory message to the registered owner of the vehicle. The message serves as a reminder to adhere to the stipulated speed limits and maintain safe lane-changing practices.
In a statement released by the police, they urged motorists to drive responsibly and not exceed the speed limits set forth in road safety regulations.
The implementation of this warning system comes in response to a concerning increase in accidents on the Sinamale’ Bridge, underscoring the need for enhanced road safety measures.
