Despite the limited land availability, GA. Kanduhulhudhoo Council has revealed its intentions to allocate land from the island.
Currently, there are over 60 residents awaiting land allocation, while only 24 plots are available.
The applications for residential land will be accepted starting tomorrow. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be at least 18 years old and should not already own land, flats, or row houses exceeding 600 square feet on any Maldivian island.
The 24 plots of land to be issued will range from 1,500 square feet to 2,000 square feet. This initiative represents a significant step in addressing the housing challenges confronting Kanduhulhudhoo’s population.
