Age Group 55-64 Dominates Parliamentary Elections with 88.78% Voters

For the 75 and above age group, 70.62% of eligible voters voted, while a significant 29.38% did not participate in the electoral process.
Across the age brackets, a trend emerged indicating higher participation among older demographics. In the 65-74 age group, 85.81% exercised their voting rights, with 14.19% choosing not to vote.
Notably, the 55-64 age bracket displayed a significant voter turnout of 88.78%, with 11.24% who did not vote.
Moving down the age groups, the 45-54 age group saw 87.07% participation, with 12.93% deciding not to participate in the electoral proceedings.
The proportion of non-voters increased as the age decreased. In the 35-44 age category, 82.67% voted, while 17.33% did not engage in the electoral process.
For the 25-34 age group, 79.05% of eligible voters participated, but a higher percentage, 20.95%, did not vote.
Among the youngest eligible voters, aged 18-24, 75.34% turned up to cast their ballots, while 24.66% did not vote in the parliamentary elections.
The data illustrates a noticeable decline in voter participation as age decreases, with younger age groups displaying comparatively lower voting rates in the 2019 Parliamentary elections.
