Administration’s Nationwide Push for Equitable Access to Essential Services Gains Recognition, Says Solih

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih stated that the administration’s efforts to promote equitable access to essential services for all are visible across the country today and that the people living in the islands have started to see the ease and benefits of it. He made these remarks while delivering his Republic Day address this morning.

Highlighting that the administration introduced free degrees for all students without discrimination, the President stated for the Maldivian republic to truly thrive, it is important to cultivate robust education and health services.

The President further underscored positive improvements to salaries for employees by the administration. He stated that pay harmonisation has benefited employees in the healthcare and education sectors. He added that the administration submitted the budget for 2024 to Parliament, containing increases in the wages of the judiciary, the military, the police, and all other government employees.
