In an effort to reinforce the parliamentary system’s order, Aslam outlined a series of measures, one of which involves the formulation and finalisation of rules of conduct for MPs.

These rules, previously under consideration in past parliamentary sessions, are yet to be concluded under Article 88 of the Constitution.

Simultaneously, Aslam highlighted the duty of the parliamentary administration to ensure the safety and security of ministers and other individuals appearing before the parliament.

This announcement follows an incident during the budget presentation, where Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer faced disruption from members of the minority party, The Democrats. Protesting MPs, alleging the illegality of the supplementary budget, surrounded the minister, creating a disturbance within the parliament.
