Fulidhoo and Thinadhoo Police Posts Inaugurated

The Fulidhoo and Thinadhoo Police Posts were officially opened, marking the establishment of police services in these island communities.
The inauguration ceremonies, held separately for each police post, were attended by dignitaries and key figures in the police force. Local Policing Command Head Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, along with several police executive officers.
The ceremonies also had the presence of local leaders, including Thinadhoo Council President Shifag Hussain for Thinadhoo and Fulidhoo Council President Mohamed Imthiyaz for Fulidhoo, along with council members.
Assistant Commissioner Abdullah underlined the importance of establishing police posts in islands with guesthouses, aiming to curb various crimes and illegal activities associated with tourism.
The newly inaugurated police posts in Vaavu Atoll are expected to contribute significantly to maintaining a safe and secure environment for tourists visiting resorts and guesthouses in the province.
