An investigation has been launched by the police following the disappearance of equipment that originally belonged to the now-divided Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.
The split has resulted in the formation of two distinct ministries.
The missing equipment was part of the transfer process to the newly established Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, one of the two ministries resulting from the division.
Today, a police spokesperson announced that a complaint had been lodged last Wednesday, reporting the disappearance of assets belonging to the Sports Ministry.
The Sports Ministry stated that the equipment was noted as missing during the transfer of assets between the two ministries, both housed at the Velana Building.
Among the missing items are six monitors, two CPUs, and a large-screen TV.
The police are actively investigating the case.
