Collaborating with the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and the Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC), Urbanco conducted a health screening for foreigners residing in Hulhumale’ on the 22nd of this month.
To further assess and address the situation, random sampling was carried out on December 23 in key locations, including Thilafushi, Gulhifalhu, and Hulhumale’. Simultaneously, the initiative ‘Protect from Filaria’ was launched, with plans to divide Hulhumale’ into 12 zones. Starting today, awareness sessions are set to commence for schools and employees of both government and private institutions, continuing from the 26th of this month.
Residents of the 12 designated zones will actively participate in a large-scale clean-up drive in Hulhumale’, encompassing school children and employees from government offices. Urbanco encourages widespread community involvement, urging citizens to join these activities and collaborate in eradicating potential mosquito breeding grounds.
