Updates on the Maldives Zakat House were shared, revealing plans for its inauguration on January 1st, 2024. The institution is expected to play a pivotal role in overseeing charitable contributions and their distribution.

The Bank of Maldives (BML) will fund the construction of the waqf building base in Hulhumale’, with construction set to commence in January 2024.

In an effort to enhance the Ministry’s approach to contemporary challenges, a think tank will be established. Comprising educated individuals from the ministry’s civil staff, the think tank aims to bring innovative solutions to current issues.

A team is set to visit Faafu Atoll to assess mosque conditions and engage with citizens, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to grassroots connections.
