Following closely, lung-related diseases emerged as the second most commonly treated, with 35,806 patients benefiting from Aasandha’s medical services. Diabetes claimed the third-highest position, with 30,803 patients undergoing treatment, while kidney-related ailments secured the fourth-highest spot, totaling 11,635 cases.

Highlighting another facet of healthcare, Zeeniya reported that 3,294 individuals received cancer treatment within the same timeframe.

Zeeniya underscored that the government’s newly introduced medical check-up packages aim to facilitate the timely diagnosis of a maximum number of patients. These packages have been categorically structured into four types, each with specific tests tailored for both men and women, as outlined by Aasandha.

Addressing the gathered audience, Dharumavantha Hospital CEO Ibrahim Haleem emphasised the pivotal role of early disease detection through preemptive testing in significantly reducing the state’s expenditure on treatments. Haleem drew attention to the considerable amount already expended by the government on healthcare annually.
