Ministry Received 39 Cases of Gender Based Violence in November

Statistics released by the Ministry of Social and Family Development reveal that the Ministry received and attended to a total of 39 cases of gender-based violence in the month of November 2023, which included 35 females and four males.

Comparatively, the month of October saw 36 cases of gender-based violence. 

In November, the most commonly reported form of gender-based violence was emotional abuse/ verbal abuse, with 25 cases documented during the month. 

Additionally, during November month, there were 17 cases of physical violence/abuse, two cases of sexual violence/abuse, two cases of intimidating and one case of rape. 

In November 2023, the Ministry of Social and Family Development received a total of 302 reported cases concerning various issues related to child welfare and family well-being.
