Chinese Businessmen and State Officials Pays Visit to Muizzu
During President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s state visit to China, officials from China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) and Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) paid courtesy calls, expressing commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and collaboration in various areas, while high-level meetings with Fujian Provincial Leaders highlighted the mutual desire to enhance cooperation in cultural and tourism, city-to-city, fisheries, and investment.

Senior officials of the China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) paid a courtesy call on Muizzu today.
During the courtesy call, the officials extended a warm welcome to Muizzu upon his visit to China.
Speaking at the meeting, Muizzu underscored the significance of China as a valued ally and an integral collaborator in the developmental journey of the Maldives. He expressed aspirations to enhance bilateral relations to new heights and enhance collaborative efforts in various areas of mutual interest.
The officials expressed profound gratitude for the enduring support the CCCC has received from the Maldives over the years. They also expressed their keen interest and commitment to contribute to the development initiatives in the Maldives.
Concluding the call, the officials expressed an optimistic vision for a future filled with prosperity and vibrancy for the Maldivian administration. Concurrently, Muizzu reaffirmed the Administration’s unwavering commitment to nurturing and enhancing the economic and commercial ties between the two nations.
Secretary of Fujian Provincial Party Committee, and Governor of Fujian Province meet with Muizzu
Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial People’s Congress, and H.E. Zhao Long, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Fujian Province, along with other Fujian Provincial Leaders, met with Muizzu today.
During the meeting, the Secretary of Fujian Provincial Party Committee expressed his wish to enhance cooperation in cultural and tourism, city-to-city, and fisheries. He additionally conveyed high hopes for increasing further investment cooperation after the Invest Maldives forum, scheduled for tomorrow.
Muizzu noted that the Maldives valued the China-Maldives relationship and expressed his hopes to increase cooperation in multiple areas. He also highlighted that this visit is his first state visit, symbolising the China-Maldives friendship.
Concluding the meeting, both delegations expressed hope to increase collaboration and further strengthen the ties between the Maldives and China.
The Fujian Provincial Leaders also hosted a Welcome Banquet in honour of the President, the First Lady, and the Maldivian delegation this evening.
The Managing Director and senior officials of the Hunan Construction Investment Group pay courtesy call on Muizzu
Mr Cai Dianwei, Managing Director of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), and senior officials from the HCIG paid a courtesy call on Muizzu this evening.
During the meeting, the Managing Director of the HCIG gave a brief overview of the company and briefed Muizzu on some of their projects. He expressed eagerness to further enhance cooperation with the Maldives, including increasing people-to-people interaction.
Muizzu noted that he looked forward to further cooperation between the Maldives and China and assured the Administration’s full support.
