Construction On Kolhumadulu Guraidhoo Airport to Commence This Year

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced the construction of Kolhumadulu Guraidhoo Airport is set to commence within the year.
The announcement was made yesterday during Dr.Muizzu’s inaugural presidential visit to the community of Th. Guraidhoo Island, according to a press release by the President’s Office.
During his remarks, President Dr Muizzu emphasised that various development initiatives had to be incorporated into the national budget within a short time frame. Despite the project not being initially listed in the budget, the president stated that the administration is committed to carrying out the airport project.
Highlighting the importance of the airport project for Guraidhoo Island’s residents, President Muizzu declared that construction would commence within the year.
During his address, he pledged to address a range of pressing issues affecting the community, and emphasised the necessity of prioritising needs based on their significance within the current economic landscape.
President Dr Muizzu is currently on a tour of the Kolhumadulu Atoll, accompanied by a high-level Government delegation.
