Parliament Approves Fathimath Habeeba for Civil Service Commission

The parliament has approved Fathimath Habeeba to be a member of the Civil Service Commission (CSC)

During today’s parliament session, Habeeba was confirmed with unanimous support, all 38 attending members voted in favor of her appointment. Habeeba is currently the Director General of the Civil Service Training Institute.

Along with Habeeba, parliament committee on independent commissions forwarded Abdul Haseeb Ismail’s name. Haseeb’s nomination failed after receiving 19 votes against and 18 votes in favor.

Habeeba has been appointed to CSC to fill the seat vacated by Fathimath Ameera whose term ended in December.
