Aasandha Introduces Dispensing Code System to Address Pre-Collection Medication Billing

Aasandha, has taken proactive measures to address the issue of billing for medications before their collection by introducing a dispensing code system.

The newly introduced policy is currently operational in select pharmacies within Male’ City, with plans for an extensive rollout to all pharmacies in the near future.

Under this policy, pharmacists will request the ID card number and phone contact details of individuals collecting prescribed medication. Once entered into the Aasandha portal, a unique dispensing code will be sent directly to the respective individual’s phone. 

Notably, any transaction for the medicine can only be completed upon entering this specific code into the portal.

The move aims to prevent billing discrepancies by ensuring that medications covered under Aasandha are dispensed to the intended individuals only upon their direct authorisation through the dispensing code.

This step by Aasandha reflects a strategic effort to streamline the collection process and fortify the accountability of medication transactions covered under the healthcare scheme.
