Aasandha Scheme Reintroduces Dispensation Codes for Medication Issuance
The Aasandha healthcare scheme has announced the reintroduction of sending dispensation codes directly to recipients’ phones as part of the medication issuance process.
The updated procedure aims to enhance both the efficiency and security of medication dispensing. Under the system, a dispensation code will be sent to the mobile phone of the individual receiving the prescribed medication. To obtain the code, recipients must present their national identity card and provide their phone number to the pharmacist or dispenser at the point of service. Once verified, the pharmacist will input the code into the Aasandha portal, enabling the release of the medication.
This initiative forms part of the government’s broader efforts to improve the Aasandha scheme, which delivers essential healthcare services to the public. By streamlining the dispensing process, the government seeks to improve accountability and strengthen the overall performance of the programme.
Officials have reaffirmed their commitment to continually enhancing the Aasandha system to ensure reliable access to quality healthcare for all citizens.
