The framework, introduced at a ceremony in Malé, sets out behavioural and professional standards expected of commission employees. It is designed to improve operational efficiency and institutional performance across the ACC’s mandate.
According to the Maldives National University, the framework is expected to serve as a key instrument for institutional advancement by guiding recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. It emphasises the assessment of knowledge, skills, personal attributes, ethics, and professional conduct, with the aim of fostering greater employee engagement and stronger service quality.
The ACC noted that the framework will provide clarity on the professional competencies required of its staff, allowing the identification of skill levels and the development of targeted training programmes. The initiative is regarded as a strategic measure to strengthen employee competence and elevate institutional service delivery.
Alongside staff development, the commission is also prioritising investment in technological infrastructure, including upgraded computer systems and servers, to meet operational demands. The competency framework has been formulated to ensure that employee skills and attributes progress in line with these advancements.
