Alcohol And Suspected Drugs Seized In Hulhumale’ Arrest

A 57-year-old man has been arrested in Hulhumale’ Phase 1 after police discovered bottles of alcohol and suspected drugs in his possession.

Police identified the suspect as Ali Manik from Neelaa Aakaas in Th. Gaadhiffushi. He was taken into custody after officers stopped and searched the pickup truck he was driving, acting on information received.

According to police, 14 bottles of alcohol were recovered from the vehicle. A subsequent search of his clothing revealed rubber packets containing drugs.

Authorities confirmed that investigations into the case are ongoing.
